hhhhh your art is so beautiful u v u. I'm wondering if you could do some references on backs? Of course only if you have time and feel like doing so o v o;;;
forgive my handwriting I HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE BC IM NOT RLY SURE IF IT MAKES SENSE also here are some pics of rl backs which you can also locate via google 1,2,3,4,5(nsfw bc butt)
Folks welcomed the hand reference I posted, so here’s some foot reference.
As an artist you’ll draw A LOT of feet, especially feet that REST ON THE GROUND. Don’t be one of those artists who hides feet behind grass or mist all the time. Print these out and draw ‘em.
I included the knees because you’ll need to know how feet connect with legs; draw ‘em up to the knee.
That 'Photos' drawing of Toph is beautiful - may I ask how you went about doing the lighting? Or showing a screen cap of your layers for it?
the bright/rim lighting (i assume that’s what you’re after) is
-one screen layer (or can be some other additive layer idk) is just regular painted rim light
-duplicate that layer
-lock the transparency and color it whatever color (reddish orange usually for yellow light)
-unlock the transparency and gaussian blur it
Reblogging this not only for artists but also for people who write werewolf (and other animal transformation) fiction. If a human turned into a wolf, their knee joints would not reverse— what some fic writers mistake for the knee is actually the ankle. A wolf’s hind feet are relatively long, and they are always walking in way roughly analogous to human “tip-toeing.”
An Egyptian 18th dynasty pharaonic era princess’ crown.
The 18th dynasty was ca 1550 BC-ca 1292 BC. It included Tutankhamen (“King Tut”), Hatshepsut, Akhenaten and Nefertiti (his queen) among others.
